Former Deer Park hotel to be used for short term emergency accommodation
In response to an approach from the International Protection Accommodation Services, part of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Tetrarch Capital has agreed to refurbish the former Deer Park Hotel on the grounds of Howth Estate and to provide temporary accommodation there for people fleeing the war in Ukraine.
Refurbishment works to the former Hotel have now commenced and will be completed on a phased basis. It is hoped that the first visitors will be welcomed in early June.
When the refurbishment works are complete, 65 rooms will be made available to the Department on a temporary basis until the end of this year.
Residents will have access to the wide open spaces and amenities of Howth Estate and the wider headland and will be within close proximity to Howth Village and public transports links.
We are now looking for some key staff to welcome the refugees:
