In response to an approach from the International Protection Accommodation Services, part of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Tetrarch Capital has agreed to refurbish the former Deer Park Hotel on the grounds of Howth Estate and to provide temporary accommodation there for people fleeing the war in Ukraine.
With the first of the residents expected to arrive at the property from June 2022, we are urgently seeking to recruit and build a high-quality team to work with us.
From playing a crucial role in the way the accommodation is managed and maintained, to offering a comfortable and homely stay to residents: we want you to bring not only commitment and expertise, but importantly positivity.
Job Summary:
As an Accommodation Assistant you will works to ensure that the areas of work allocated to you present to the highest possible standards of cleanliness, and resident comfort at all times and to promote a positive image to both residents and colleagues alike.
Main Duties:
- To ensure that you present to work on time wearing the relevant uniform and name badge and to the highest possible standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
- To work in accordance with the weekly staff roster issued by your supervisor.
- To serve all residents in a satisfactory manner whilst maintaining confidentiality on all matters relating to residents and employees.
- To be responsible for the routine servicing of resident bedrooms and bathrooms both occupied and vacant as allocated, to the required standard. To service other areas of accommodation i.e. public areas, corridors, laundry etc.
- To operate plant and machinery with due care and attention, ensuring adherence to
- Health and Safety procedures and wearing Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- To report and, where possible, take action on incidents of accident, fire loss or damage and report any maintenance work required in the Accommodation or public areas in accordance with the set reporting system.
- Service Areas and trolleys to be kept clean neatly stocked and secure including storage and care of vacuum cleaner.
- Prepare extra beds and baby cots as required.
- To use provided cleaning materials as per manufacturers’ instructions and as per training.
- To ensure that house policies regarding lost property are complied with at all times.
- To observe all safety rules and procedures, to ensure that all reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, residents and any other persons on the premises.
- To attend any meetings and training sessions when required to by your supervisor or Management.
- To maintain at all times a good working relationship with your fellow workers and Management.
- To be flexible with regard to working hours and duties in order to handle any unexpected requirements and to meet the operational needs of the business.
What we are looking for
- A passionate Accommodation Assistant with strong teamwork and communication skills that can deliver a work environment that supports employees to deliver a welcoming, clean and comfortable experience
- Experience as an Accommodations Assistant in hospitality environment is preferable.
- Enthusiastic about cleanliness, hygiene with a keen eye for detail.
- Good Communication skills (English and ideally Ukrainian)
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
